   Sophie Bukowski, age 99 of Foley, died Friday, May 20, 2016 at Heritage of Foley Nursing Center. 
  Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Monday, May 23, 2016 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Brennyville. The Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate. Burial will be in the North Benton Cemetery. 
  Friends may call from 9:30 to 11 AM at the church on Monday.  Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home.
  Sophie Pelugija Bukowski was born January 21, 1917 in Alberta Township, Benton Co. to John and Pelugija 'Polly' (Moulzolf) Ginger.  She married Joe Bukowski on June 27, 1942 at the North Benton Catholic Church.  She lived and farmed in Alberta Township all of her life.  She enjoyed sewing & quilting, playing cards and search word puzzles.  She was an avid Twins fan and loved watching girls high school basketball and Wheel of Fortune on T.V.  Sophie loved raising chickens, did all her own butchering and would help the neighbors with their butchering.  She was an excellent cook and baker and helped on the farm when needed.  Sophie loved to play Bingo and always remembered every ones birthdays.  The family wishes to thank the St. Cloud Hospital and the Heritage of Foley Nursing Center for all their care and compassion shown to our mother.  
  She is survived by her sons and daughters; Edward, Foley; Georgiann (Eugene) Brenny, Foley; Ronald, Rogers; Roy (Judy), Hillman and Janice (Kevin) Helmin of Foley, 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson, Oliver Wruck.  She was preceded in death by her parents and  husband.
