We were sad to hear of John's passing. We used to stop in and visit with him at his business in Sauk Rapids. We always enjoyed our conversations with John. We send our condolences to his family.

Dear Pat,
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Know that if I were younger, I'd be there to hug you.
I remember John's love of people. He was always sociable...taking time to chat no matter how busy he was. In fact, I remember that John was so busy with the resort that he didn't have time to fish! So Orville shared his catches with John. We laugh that there are no crappies left in White Iron because Orville caught them all! The restaurant was John's pride and joy. We loved the Sunday brunches and we ate there often with family. People came from all over to enjoy his restaurant.
We had many years and many good times together. Please know that I hold you and John dear to my heart. My sympathies go out to you and your family at this time of loss.
