It's been year since Eddy worked with my ex-husband, but our family enjoy the many times he was at our home. I have pictures of him with some of my children, they had a lot of fun with him. I remember cooking wild duck for him with apple/cranberry pie., he always enjoyed sharing a meal with us. Sending Gods blessing to the family.

I had the pleasure of working side by side with Ed at Martie's Farm Service for 21 years. I have never known someone with such a huge heart like Ed. He at times, was my therapist and mentor. He has taught me alot of what I know today about our business. When you work small business, you don't just have employees, you have family. And that is exactly what Ed was to us....family.  He has seen my children grow, graduate, and get married and has always treated them like they were his own. And for that, I will always be grateful.  It will never be the same without him. But know this...when I sell seed corn and fertilizer, I will look up and know Ed taught me well! I will miss you Mr. Klingler!

To the family of Ed I wish to express my deepest condolences  I knew Ed as both a classmate.  I don't know of many people that he ever said anything but good about.  And finally to Ed himself,  "Stand down Marine uoyrr watch is over.  We'll take it from here".

To Ed's Family-Ed worked for Russ and I at Martie's Farm Service for almost 22 years before retiring this past October. He was more friend than employee. What can I say about someone you can always count on to do his very best? He had such a wide variety of interests. We talked about raising kids, gardening, canning, cooking, baking, farming, cows-you name it. I was always treated with utmost respect-it took most of those years he worked with me to get him to call me by my first name instead of "Mrs. Martie,"  Over the years he many times said "Thank you for letting me work here." We thank you, Ed, for your devotion and we will miss you in our lives.

Our condolences to Ed's family.  We were fortunate to have Ed attend our 50th Class Reunion last August and get caught up on life experiences spanning 50 years.  Ed was a Viet Nam veteran and we appreciate his service for our country.  Ed was a great person and will be missed by many.
May he rest in peace.

Ed and I went to high school together graduating with class of 1965. We both went to Vietnam, a Marine, and an Army Special Forces soldier. We never met again for twenty-five years. Ed was always a great guy in school, and one I called friend. When we ran into each other some years back, it was just like we were in school again.

Ron and I, my Dad, Orv Volkmann, my brother, John, sister, Jill and her husband Tim Freeman were all customers of Marties and so much enjoyed visiting with Ed! After his retirement, I had hoped that he would take me up on my offer of coming to our farm for a cup of coffee so we could keep in touch.
Here's to you Ed, wish we had had you longer, may you rest in God's peace until we're all up there with you, and then, WOW, we'll have so much to talk about! Between the VA, hay prices, the weather, deer hunting, and the list will go on thru eternity!
