William W. Matvick, age 75, of Hillman, MN, died peacefully at his home Monday December 31, 2012.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2013 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Brennyville, MN. The Rev. Leo Moenkedick will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, rural Foley.

Friends may call from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

William Matvick was born July 25, 1937 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Walter and Ann (Rymer) Matvick. He married Frances Wassel December 29, 1958 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Brennyville. He had lived and farmed in the Hillman area most of his life. He had worked at Hergess Meats; Robels Packing for 27 years; Long Prairie Packing for 5 years; and Westling Mfg. for 1 year before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and spending time with his family. He was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Brennyville.

He is survived by his wife, Frances, sons and daughters, Beverly (James) Wiebe; Brenda (Tom) Wimmer; Antoinette (Joe) Kippley; James (Tammy); Mary (Brad) Stroot; Andrea (Ryan) Sobania; Wayne (Julie); 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Jerome, Roman and Anthony.

He was preceded in death by his son, Gerrard William Matvick and sister, Gloria Aukland.
