Wallace Mulder, age 82, of Foley, MN, died Thursday February 16, 2012 at the Foley Nursing Center, Foley, MN.

Funeral services will be 12 Noon Monday, February 20, 2012 at the Foley Funeral Home Chapel, Foley. The Deacon Fred Reker will officiate. Burial will be in the Ronneby Riverside Cemetery, Ronneby, MN with Military Honors provided by the Foley American Legion, Post 298.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 Sunday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home on Monday. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Wallace Mulder was born March 14, 1929 in Alkton, South Dakota to D.B. and Susan (Dowma) Mulder. He married June Lundregn on July 28, 1949 in Pipestone, MN. The couple lived in Worthington, MN until moving to the St. Cloud area in 1963 and to Foley in 1969. Wallace worked as a trucker and hobby farmed before becoming a meat inspector for the USDA. Wallace's job as a meat inspector brought him to many places and towns where he met and became friends with many people. He retired form the USDA in 1995. Wallace enjoyed farming, playing cards and fishing. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a US Army Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, June, Foley, MN; son and daughter; Rex, Foley, MN; Sandie (Gary) Plafcan, Foley, MN, 3 grand children and 4 great grandchildren and sister, Naomi (Larry) Janssen, Desmet, SD.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Delano, Dudley, Bill and Irvin.
