Verona Quinn, age 97, of Hopkins, died Monday, September 9, 2013 at the Chapel View Nursing Home, Hopkins, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2013 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Morrill. The Rev. Leo Moendedick will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.  Arrangements were made  by the Foley Funeral Home.
Verona Quinn was born February 18, 1916 in Lake Linden, MI to William and Elizabeth Gagnon.  She married John Wilson McCarty on May 12, 1937.  John was killed in a construction accident on May 20, 1948.  Verona married Charles Quinn on September 20, 1950 and they moved to a farm near Morrill in October of 1953.  Charles preceded her in death on August 19, 1983.  She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and active in the St. Joseph's Christian Mothers.  Verona sold the farm in 1997 and moved to Hopkins.
She is survived by her son and daughters; Raymond (Jane) McCarty, Minnetonka; Loretta McCarty, Gilroy, CA; Roberta (Allen) Briggs, Colorado Springs, CO and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death her husbands, John McCarty and Charles Quinn, son, Irving (Roslyn) McCarty and daughter, Valerie (David) Marshik.
