Thomas Striker, age 85, of Foreston, died Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at DVA Medical Center, St. Cloud.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 19, 2013 at Foley Funeral Home Chapel, Foley. The Rev. Barbara Peterson will officiate. Burial with full Military Honors will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Monday.  Arrangements were made  by the Foley Funeral Home.
Thomas Striker was born November 18, 1927 in Ericson, Nebraska to Charles and Martha (Jackson) Striker.  He married Mary DeLoris Dittrich on October 3, 1948 in Stanton, NE.  The couple lived and ranched in Nebraska before moving to the Foreston area in 1967.  Thomas farmed for many years near Foreston and also sold real-estate for over 20 years until his retirement.  He was a member of the National Farmers Organization and  a US Army Veteran.  Thomas would never pass up a good game of pool.
He is survived by his sons and daughters; Larry, Foley; Bonnie Meyer, Foley; William, Killeen, TX; Peggy Holewa (John), Hillman; Scott, Foreston; 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, special friend, Loretta, Watkins, brother, Russell, Milaca and sister, Amy Liemer, Brunswick, NE.
He was  preceded in death by his parents and wife, Mary DeLoris, Feb 5, 2006, daughter, Karen Wager, son-in-law, Blaine Wager, daughter-in-law, Ann 'Sue' Striker, brothers; Bob, Frank and Elton and one infant brother.
