Thomas Robert Mueller - 64 Gilman

June 13, 1952 - November 29, 2016

Tom Mueller, age 64, of Gilman, died Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Thursday and after 9:30 AM Friday at the church in Gilman.  Parish Prayers will be at 5 PM Thursday evening at church. Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Friday, December 2, 2016 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman. The Rev. Leo Moenkedick will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Thomas Robert Mueller was born June 13, 1952 in Paynesville, MN to Robert and Helen (Schoenberg) Mueller.  He married  Linda Holper on November 18, 1988 in Paynesville.  The couple raised their family in Gilman for 30+ years. Tom worked for Landwehr Construction for nearly 29 years.

Tom was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved anything that involved shooting a gun or outsmarting the DNR. Tom also maintained multiple extravagant gardens. With his green thumb he harvested everything from radishes to grapes, horseradish and raspberries.

One of his favorite things to do was operating heavy equipment, backhoes and loaders. He was a member of the Local 49ers Union of Operating Engineers as well as a member of the SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife Linda, Gilman, sons and daughters; Sam (Stacy), Elk River; Mandy (Jon) Rotella, Crystal; Adam, Gilman; Chad (Katie Kotsmith), Gilman; Christina (Dave) Hagen and Tosha (Eric) Vincent, grandchildren; Tyler, Jayse, Ava, David and Dylan as well as brothers and sisters; Richard (Katie), Paynesville, Herb (Nancy), New London; Andy (Kelly), Paynesville; Mike (Lisa), New London; Louise (Kurt) Fasen, Monticello; Charlie (Edie), Rushford; Angie (Rick) Kraus, Becker and Lori (John) Seehafer of Burnsville.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Tom will be remembered as a husband, father, and a friend to all.
