Stephen Jerome 'Cy' Wagner, age 53, of Foley, MN, died Tuesday May 15, 2012 at his home due to complications resulting from his lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2012 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids, MN. The Rev. Daniel Walz will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Alexandria, MN.

Friends may call from 1 hour before services at the church. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Stephen Wagner was born August 29, 1958 in Alexandria, Minnesota to Jerome and Elnora (King) Wagner. Steve pursued his love of the outdoors, dedication to conservation, and interest in wildlife, while farming for nearly 40 years. He loved being his own boss and garnered many awards for his Brown Swiss herd. He always took time to enjoy his many pets, a walk in the woods, and antique tractor shows. Steve visited and camped in many state and national parks. He was an avid reader, especially Minnesota pioneer and Native American history, and western novels. Listening to music was another hobby, and he liked everything from The Beatles to Neil Diamond to AC/DC and KISS. Steve always amazed family and friends with his incredible memory of dates and events that affected his life, and the phenomenal letters he wrote. He doted on his niece and nephews, celebrating their every accomplishment. He will be missed by everyone.

He is survived by his parents, Jerome and Elnora; brother, Chris; sisters, Jenifer (Jim Vogel) and Lisa (Paul) Fleissner; nephews, Daniel and Lucas, and niece, Kristin; and uncles, aunts, and cousins of whom he was very fond.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
