Shirley A. Achman, age 77, of Foley, MN died Sunday July 8, 2012 at her home.

Gathering time will be 4 to 7 pm Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Foley Funeral Chapel, Foley. Private burial will be in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, Duelm, MN.

Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Shirley Achman was born April 13, 1935 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Andrew and Lucille (Masterson) Freyman. She graduated from Holdingford High School and had lived in Avon, MN. She married Gilford Achman February 10, 1953 in Avon. Shirley had worked at the Foley Nursing Center for 30 years. She was a volunteer for Foley Area Care and enjoyed baseball and fishing.

She is survived by her sons and daughters, Pam (Tom) Bibeau, Inver Grove Hts, MN; Rock (Berta), Avon, MN; Gail (Wayne) Dawson, Reyson, AZ; Shelly (Dave) Abfalter, Duelm, MN; Jane (Bob) Nies, Duelm, MN; Karla Achman, Phoenix, AZ; Denise Kielty, Rice, MN; John (Jennifer), Clear Lake, MN; 21 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brother, Tom Freyman, St., Michael, MN; and sister, Susan Mehr, Rockville, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gilford, sons, Mike and Dave, brother and sisters, Jerry, Elizabeth, Vivian and Margaret.
