Shannon Nicole Witte of Minneapolis was called home December 12, 2020.  Shannon was born May 28, 1982 to Randy Witte and Faye Imker-Witte.  She attended Clara Barton Open School and graduated from Mall of America High School.  Shannon loved art and was forever rescuing children and animals, most recently a kitten.  Her son, Avery Wells, was her main focus.

She is survived by her son, Avery Wells; fiance Guillerma Garza; parents Randy and Faye Witte; paternal grandmother June Witte; sisters Jaxon (Zan Freeman) Witte and Kristin (Adam) Schmidt; nieces: Addison and Holly Schmidt; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorials can be sent to a food shelf of donor's choice or Fay and Randy for Avery's college fund.

Mom I love u so much the woman that brought me into this world and gave me life and everything I could ask for.  I'm so broken that God called ur name early but I know you're in a better place now Mama and I'm sorry we didn't get to spend more time together.

We had everything planned out for the future - going to my NBA games, skydiving, shopping, buying a house that u liked, buying ur dream car.  Everything that we wanted to do I planned to make happen bc I love u so much and wanted to make u happy.

But now that got taken from me.  Left a scar on my heart, a scar that may never heal but I made a promise and I'm gonna stick to it Mom.  I promise u I'm going to make it to the league if it's the last thing I do.

Well Mom, I love u so much and I will never stop loving u.  Rest easy and leave ur care to me.
