Roman Ranweiler, age 100, of Morrill, died Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Morrill, MN. The Rev. Dan Walz will officiate. Burial with full Military Honors will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 Monday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley, MN and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.
Roman Ranweiler was born February 28, 1910 in Constock, WI to John and Theresa (Krippner) Ranweiler. Roman had lived and farmed most of his life in Lakin Township, Morrison County, MN. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and 50 year member of the Foley American Legion, Post 298. Roman loved the outdoors, both summer and winter. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed all of God's beauty. Roman was never married but was a father figure to many of the youthful neighbors. Roman will be missed by all his loving family of friends. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Morrill, MN.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Louis, Mark, John, Paul, Gene and Theresa.
