Robert Luckow, age 80 of Sacred Heart, Minnesota and formerly of Oak Park, passed away May 28, 2024 at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM, Friday, May 31, 2024 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Foley. Rev. George Sagissor will officiate and burial with full military honors will take place in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church on Friday. Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home.
Robert Alan Luckow was born May 27, 1944 in Gaylord, Minnesota to Wallace and Meta (Trout) Luckow. Robert was Baptized and Confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Gaylord. He attended public school at Stewart and Gaylord. He joined the US Navy in 1962 and served on Midway Island aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Hancock and also served at the Alameda Naval Air Station in California. Bob and Joyce were married on August 30, 1964 at First Presbyterian Church in Oakland, California. The couple lived in MInneapolis, Anoka and Elk River before moving to Oak Park where they farmed and raised their family. After their retirement they moved to Granite Falls. Bob enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and working on old cars. Bob and Joyce were longtime members of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Foley.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce and daughter, Teresa 'Terri' (Jason) Peterson, Belview, MN, son, Rob (Susan), Oak Park, as well as 5 grandchildren: Hunter, Tanner, Walker, Autumn and Jesse, a niece, Renae and a nephew, Troy. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Tiegs.
