Rita Mulqueen, age 85, of Princeton, died Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Christ Our Light Catholic Church North, Princeton. The Rev. Kevin Anderson will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, Duelm, MN.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley, MN and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church in Princeton. Parish prayers will be at 6 pm followed by the Rosary at 7 pm Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Rita Mulqueen was born April 23, 1926 in Duelm, Minnesota to Joseph and Mary (Fouquette) Dierkes. She married Donald L. Mulqueen on May 6, 1950 at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Denver, CO. Rita worked for many years at North Memorial Hospital in Robinsdale. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, camping and playing cards. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Christ Our Light Catholic Church, Princeton.

She is survived and will be greatly missed by her sons and daughters; Michael (Loretta), Mound, MN; Donna (Stephen) Thomason, Weatherford, OK; Patrick (Kerry, Janet), Fargo, ND; Mary (James) Rock, Cambridge, MN; Sharon (Mike) Lundgren, Eden Prairie, MN, Donald (Julie), Coon Rapids, MN, sisters, Magdalen Dierkes, Foley, MN; Joan (Gary) Johnson, Princeton, MN; Fidelis Dierkes, Princeton, MN. She enriched the lives of 24 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Donald, infant daughter, Mary Ann and brothers, Daniel, Sylvester 'Jack', Maurice, Severin and Raphael Dierkes and a sister, Vena Zierden.
