Richard 'Doc' A. Stoddard, age 69, of Barrett, MN, died Monday February 20, 2012 at the Foley Nursing Center, Foley, MN.

Friends and family will gather from 3 to 6 on Friday, March 2, 2012, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4343 Nicollet Ave. S., Mpls. Arrangements by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, Minnesota.

Richard Stoddard was born March 29, 1942 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Margaret Gillette. Richard had worked as a handyman all his life. He had lived in Barrett, MN for the past 16 years. He was Santa Claus in Grant County, MN for many years. He liked to work on his Harley and enjoyed fishing and boating with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his sons and daughters, Shelli (Tim) Hannon, Brooklyn Center, MN; Mike (Diane) Tanner, Waterviller, MN; Jon (Laura) Stoddard, Mpls.,MN ; Kelly (Jon) Eitel, Isanti, MN; Ryan (Nikki) Stoddard, Bloomington, MN; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; sisters and brother, Suzie Badger, MO; Kathy Knox Gillette, Isanti, MN; and Shawn Gillette, Maplewood, MN.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret.
