Phyllis R. Brunn, age 83, of Duelm, died Wednesday October 10, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm. (10915 Duelm Road NE  Foley) Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and 1 hour before services at church. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Phyllis Brunn was born February 18, 1929 in Chicago, IL to Frank and Gertrude (Kampa) Jurek. She married Norman Brunn June 5, 1948 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in St. Cloud, MN. She had lived in the Foley area for 2 years before moving to New Brighton where they started and operated Brunn Construction for many years. She was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Brighton, where she was chairman of the "Famous Turkey Dinner" for many years. They retired and moved back to the Duelm area in 1989. Phyllis loved cooking, baking, sewing, canning, playing cards, especially poker, with friends and family. She loved traveling to casinos in the motor home with Norman. She was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church where she was a member of the Christian Mothers; the Red Hats, St. Elizabeth Mission; the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary; and worked on the 4th of July Picnic; and was a Eucharistic Minister.

She is survived by her husband, Norman; children, Chip (LuAnn); Gary (friend, Mary); Denise Matrious; Wayne (Mary); Bill (Carol); 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Virgil (Gayle); Jerry (Lynn); Yvonne (Tom) Lynch; Mary Jo (Bob) Baker; and Sandy (Dale) Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother, Roland and son-in-law, Wayne.
