Pauline C. Knapek was born September 22, 1914 in Graham Township, Benton County, MN to John P. and Anna (Trettel) Ratka. She married Constantine (Con) Knapek September 9, 1936 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman. The couple had lived and farmed in rural Foley since 1936. Pauline loved spending quality time with her family, neighbors and friends. She was a homemaker and a fantastic cook. She enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, canning, playing the piano-especially her self composed pieces, cards and bingo. Pauline also liked sewing and made many quilts. She had a great sense of humor and lived her life putting the needs of others before her own. Special thoughts are the many special friends in the rosary or prayer group. She loved you dearly. She enjoyed visiting her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchild. She also loved visits by all. Pauline was a blessing and a joy to her family and to all who knew her. She will always be remembered as a wonderful, caring and loving person by all and will be missed by many. She was a kind soul who always saw the good in those she met. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and life long member of The Christian Mothers and a member of St. Ann's Society and a member of the Rice Senior Citizens and the Gilman Senior Citizens. Pauline has shown us how to live life to the fullest. We will miss her laughter, strength and witty comments.

She is survived by her sons and daughters, Lloyd (Juanita), Foley, MN; Kathy Heim, Sartell, MN; Mary (Jack) Teff, Penrose, CO; Terry (Marie), Sauk Rapids, MN; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Knapek, Champlin, MN; 18 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Con, May 8, 1985, son, Con, February 20, 2008, sisters, Frances Kujuwa, Josephine Brenny, Rose Steinbach, Clara Moulsolf and an infant sister, Martha; brothers, John, Alex, August, Joseph, Thomas and Frank Ratka.

May God Bless You and Keep You Until We Meet Again.
