Mildred Talberg, age 87 of Gilman, MN, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Foley Nursing Center, Foley, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 14, 2012 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman. The Rev. Leo Moenkedick will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Rita's Catholic Cemetery, Hillman, MN.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 Sunday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and one hour prior to the service at church. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Mildred Talberg was born August 19, 1924 in Alberta, Township, Benton Co. to Ambrose and Catherine (Kantor) Dahler. She married Robert Talberg on June 24, 1950 and farmed in Hillman for several years. Robert preceded her in death. She then married Donald Talberg on June 28, 1988 in Houghton, MI. The couple lived in Gilman for the past 24 years. Millie worked as a seamstress for Gorcki Manufacturing in Milaca for many years. She enjoyed sewing and always had a large garden and enjoyed old time music and attended many dances. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, Gilman Senior Citizens and SS. Peter & Paul's Catholic Church and the Christian Mother's.

She is survived by her husband, Donald, Gilman, MN, sons; David (Karen), Hillman, MN; Mike (LaVern), Buckman, MN; Jim (Sandy), Centerville, MN; Tim (Karen), Elk River, MN, sister, Lorraine Byzewski, Foley, MN, brother, Delroy Dahler, Rice, MN; step-son, Jerry Talberg, NC, 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law, Henry Byzewski and sister-in-law, Margaret Dahler.
