Marie Haley, age 84, of Foley, died Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the Foley Nursing Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 16, 2013 at St. John's Catholic Church, Foley. The Rev. Daniel Walz will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 Thursday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Parish Prayers will be at 6 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home.
Marie Haley was born September 16, 1928 in Foley, MN to Paul and Frances (Cekala) Kaiser. She married Tom Haley on May 1, 1946 at St. John's Catholic Church in Foley and celebrated 65 years of marriage. Marie lived most of her life in the Foley area. She worked as a kindergarten teachers aide for 20 years. Marie loved gardening, canning and cooking. She enjoyed playing Bingo, playing cards and her trips to the casino. Marie loved her children and grandchildren and was most happy at family events and holiday gatherings. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church. The family would like to thank the Foley Nursing Center and the Memory Care Unit staff for all their comfort and care given to Marie.
She is survived by her son and daughters; Tom Jr. ( Alma), Sauk Rapids; Patty (Dale) Scott, St. Cloud; Sandy (Boniface) Karanja, Plymouth; Susie (Duane) Strand, Foley; 15 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Tom; son, Michael; grandson, Jason Graves and 11 brothers and sisters.
