Marie R. Fiedler, age 94, of Sartell, MN and formerly of Foley, MN, died Sunday February 27, 2011 at Country Manor, Sartell.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 4, 2011 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids, MN. The Rev. Bernard Kahlhamer will officiate and Rev. Kenneth Popp will con-celebrate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley, MN and 1 hour before services at church. Parish prayers will be 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Marie Fiedler was born August 16, 1916 in St. Stephen, Minnesota to Peter and Agnes (Legatt) Justin. She married Herman Fiedler August 21, 1937 in Oakland, CA. She had lived and farmed in the Foley area. Marie was a sparkly, positive woman all her life as she raised her seven children, and during these years, she helped on the farm. She loved her huge garden, flowers, strawberry patch, grape vines and her chickens. Also, she was quick to help others in need and very active in St. Patrick's Catholic Church activities and groups. She loved quilting and made well over 80 quilts, some for the missions. She collected and polished agates for years and spent many hours ice fishing, becoming a pro at it. As a couple, they traveled to Mexico, the Holy Land, Europe and to Italy. She enjoyed trees and even tapped the Maples for making her delicious syrup. Marie loved her 25 grandchildren and took care of them every chance she got. Marie was living at the Sartell Country Manor after a stroke in 2002 - for almost 9 years. Everyone loved her there, also.

She is survived by her sons and daughters, Douglas (Geri), Elk River, MN; Bernice Guck, Elk River;, MN; Mary Agnes (Jack) Kramer, Hutchinson, MN; Roger (Marilyn), Dallas, OR; Bonnie Lou Dockendorf, St. Cloud, MN; Peter (Bertha), Foley, MN; Sylvia Forester, Salem, OR; 25 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Scepaniak, Holdingford, MN; Audrey Justin, Kingman, AZ; and brother, Jerome Justin, Fargo, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman in 1995 and 8 brothers and sisters.
