Marianne Holewa, age 70, of Foley, MN, died, Thursday, April 29, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 3, 2010 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Brennyville, MN. The Rev. Antonio Marfori will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 Sunday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Marianne Holewa was born November 29, 1939 in Buckman Township, Morrison County, MN to Alfred and Rose (Stellmach) Sauer. She married John 'Jack' Holewa May 25, 1957 at St. Timothy's Catholic Church, Coon Rapids, MN. She had lived all her married life in Granite Ledge Township, Benton County, MN. She worked at the St. Cloud Hospital in Unit Support for several years. Marianne was a proud mother of 15 children and her greatest joy in life was her family. She was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Brennyville, MN, St. Elizabeth's Christian Mothers and the St. Mary's Quilting Circle. Memorials are preferred in-lieu-of-flowers to the family.

She is survived by her husband, John 'Jack', Foley, MN, sons and daughters; Roseanne (Gary) Strang, Foley, MN; Nancy Holewa, Waconia, MN; Helen (John) Culbreath, Clarksville, TN; John (Peggy), Hillman, MN; Jane (Tom) Gorecki, Foley, MN; Sally (Curt) Kantor, Bismark, ND; Catherine (John) Polejewski, Avon, MN; Rena Hales, Elk River, MN; Randa (Jerry) Paschke, Medford, MN; Mary (Andy) Bobst, Butte, MT; Sharon (Ed) Lent, Albany, WI; Michelle Holewa, Albany, WI; Matthew (Gina) Moreno Valley, CA; Luke (Julie), Foley, MN; son-in-law, Gary Goetzke, Foley, MN; 44 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Alice, Maurice, Betty, Maxine, Virginia, Alfred, Gilbert and Greg.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter and granddaughter, Jackie and Loralee Goetzke and a sister, Lou.
