Marcel Bursch, age 72, of Foley, died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.
Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman. The Rev. Daniel Walz will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Foley American Legion, Post 298.
Friends may gather from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church in Gilman.  Arrangements were made  by the Foley Funeral Home.
Marcel Bursch was born June 20, 1942 in Mayhew Lake Township, Benton Co. to Michael and Clara (Chapp) Bursch.  He served his country in the US Air Force.  He married Mary Jane Tadych on December 29, 1964 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the couple celebrated 49 years of marriage together.  They lived all their married life in Gilman.  Marcel worked at DeZurik's as a welder for over 32 years.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing, bowling and a good game of golf.  He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane, Foley; sons; Dean, Foley; Kurt (Amy), Foley; 2 granddaughters, Emily and Grace Bursch and brothers and sisters; Valerian Sr, Gilman; Pauline Bozych, Foley; Margie Jonas, Richmond and Ronald of Sauk Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Vincent, Anthony and Richard.
