Magdalen Dierkes, age 98, of Foley, died Monday, November 4, 2013 at Foley Nursing Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 7, 2013 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm.  The Rev. Virgil Helmin will officiate.  Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on  Thursday.  Arrangements were made  by the Foley Funeral Home.
Magdalen Dierkes was born January 13, 1915 in St. George Township, Benton Co. to Joseph and Mary (Fouquette) Dierkes.  Magdalen had worked as a housekeeper for several area Parish Priests for many years.  She had also worked at the Anoka Technical College as a book keeper for many years.  In her early years she enjoyed playing the violin and singing.  Magdalen like to play cards,  quilting and crocheting.  Memorials are preferred to Masses or St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sisters; Joan (Gary) Johnson, Princeton and Fidelis Dierkes, Princeton.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters; Vena Zierden, Rita Mulqueen, Daniel, Sylvester 'Jack', Maurice, Severin and Raphael.
