Lyle E. Keehr, age 79, of Hillman, died Wednesday August 10, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving and supporting family.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Ramey. The Rev. Greg Tomhave will officiate. Burial will be in the Lone Pine Cemetery, Morrill. Military Honors will be provided by the Hillman American Legion Post 602 and Gilman VFW Post 1558.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and 1 hour before services at church. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home.

Lyle Keehr was born March 1, 1931 in Lakin Twp., Morrison County to Earl and Florence (Brown) Keehr. He married Joyce Rinkel January 28, 1956 in Milaca He had lived and farmed most of his life in Lakin, Township . He was a US Marine Veteran and was a member of the Hillman American Legion Post 602 and the Gilman VFW Post 1558. Lyle was on the Morrison County ASCS Farm Service Board; Morrison County Special Deputy; Good Shepherd Nursing Home Board of Directors; and Deacon and Chairperson for many years of Bethany Lutheran Church in Ramey.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce, Hillman; daughters and sons, Debra (Michael) Wallerius, Robbinsdale; Kenneth (Mel), Hillman; Julie Keehr (Jim), St. Croix Falls, WI; Sandra Keehr, Hillman; Kevin, Hillman; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Mardell Starr, Foley; Betty Sauer, Lander, WY; Ray Keehr, Milaca; and Ardyce Starr, Coon Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donald and sisters, Lucille Wida and Minnie Clausen, and a great-granddaughter, Aleah Keehr.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
