Lucille Kornovich, age 88, of Oak Park died Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the Foley Nursing Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 21, 2013 at St. Louis Catholic Church, Foreston. The Rev. James Remmerswaal will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 Friday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. St. Louis Christian Mother's will pray the Rosary 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home.
Lucille Kornovich was born June 18, 1925 in St. Michael, Minnesota to Gerhard and Theresa (Meullner) Zachman. She married Jerome Kornovich on June 18, 1947. The couple lived in several states while Jerome was working construction before settling on a farm near Oak Park in 1953. Lucille farmed with her husband until he preceded her in death. She moved to Foley in 2005. Lucille enjoyed gardening, farming and quilting. She spent many hours babysitting her many grandchildren. She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and the St. Louis Christian Mothers.
She is survived by her daughter and son; Dorothy (Larry) Massmann, Paynesville; Joe (Jackie), Oak Park, sister, Rosie Zachman, Foley; brother, Wilfred Zachman, 13 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jerome, son, James and brother and sisters, Mathias, Florence Demars and Ann Odenthal.
