Lloyd Held Jr., age 80, of Oak Park, MN, died Tuesday December 21, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 24, 2010 at St. John's Catholic Church, Foley, MN. The Rev. Robert Kieffer will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Foley American Legion.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Lloyd Held Jr. was born March 5, 1930 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Lloyd 'Shorty' and Evalyne (Sackett) Held. He married Lillian Roering November 9, 1950 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Waite Park, MN. She preceded him in death in 1975. He married Arlene Biederman at St. John's Catholic Church in Foley, MN on May 12, 1978. He had lived and farmed in Maywood Twp., Benton County, MN since 1960. He was a US Army Veteran. He worked at Liberty Granite Company as a stone cutter for over 30 years. He had also sold and installed monuments. He had worked in the feed department and managed the milk department at the Oak Park Creamery. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and was a member of the Foley American Legion Post 298. He was also a member of St. John's Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene, Oak Park, MN; sons and daughters, June (Jody) Schave, Sartell, MN; Gary (Michele), Oak Park, MN; Shelley (Sean) Kuepers, Sartell, MN; Susan (Ralph) Worm, Sauk Rapids, MN; Phillip Biederman, Oak Park, MN; 6 grandchildren, Jeremy and Jessica du'Monceaux, Josie Asplund, Jamie Held, Morgan and Kaylee Kuepers; 4 great-grandchildren, Alex and Abby Held, Lillian du'Monceaux and Trace Markgraf; brothers and sisters, Lyness, Waite Park, MN; Evelyn Classen, Waite Park, MN; Bernice Lintgen-Kelash, Sauk Rapids, MN; Richard, St. Cloud, MN; and Carolyn 'Toots' Ingle, Foreston, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lillian and an infant daughter, Judy. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
