LeeRoy A. Shore, age 80, of Foley, died Wednesday January 11, 2012 at his home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church, Foley. The Rev. Allen Jergenson will officiate. Burial will be in the Shell City Cemetery, Huntersville, MN at a later date. Military honors will be provided by the Foley American Legion Post 298.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and 1 hour before services at the church. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

LeeRoy Shore was born December 5, 1931 in Bull Moose Township, Cass County, Minnesota to Ora and Matilda (Grossnickle) Shore. At the age of 14 he left school to go work as a ranch hand in South Dakota. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He married Dixie Frisbie November 17, 1956 in Menahga, MN. He had worked on steel frame buildings and the Pine River Lumber Yard Co. and Sawmill. LeeRoy had worked with the White Farm Equipment Company in Hopkins, MN as a sales manager for over 20 years. He enjoyed doing farm work for Warren Peschl. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially enjoyed his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Dixie, Foley; sons and daughters, Joetta (Russ) Holewa, Foley; Darrell, Mound; Leland, Foley; Craig (Becky), Menahga, MN; Russell (Kim), Milaca, MN; Lorelei Shore-Brausen, Graceville, MN; and Janita (Kevin) Dieger, Foley; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Annabelle Hawks, Selah, WA; Julia Libby, Spokane, WA; Lorraine Bring, Brooklyn Park, MN; Duane 'Verle', Coon Rapids, MN; Walter, Spokane, WA; Alice Schweninger, Hewit, MN; Bernard 'Butch', Frazee, MN; and David, Goldendale, WA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
