Kerney Henry age 92, of Foley, MN, died peacefully at his home on Tuesday, June 21, 2011.
Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church, Foley. The Rev. Allen C. Jergenson will officiate. Private family burial will take place at Ronneby Riverside Cemetery, rural Foley.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Foley and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.
Kerney Henry was born May 24, 1919 in St. George Township, Benton County, MN to Peter and Agnes (Caughey) Henry. He attended St. Cloud State University and was a US Navy Veteran of WWII serving from January 1945 to July, 1946. He married Loretta Scott on November 1, 1959 at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Sioux City, Iowa. Kerney was a lifelong resident of the Foley area. He farmed with his brother Robert until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of the Benton County Farm Bureau and the First Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta, Foley, MN; daughter and son; Pamela J (Lance) Lechner, Park Ridge, Il; David S. (Melody J.) Foley, MN, grandchildren, Nathaniel and Rachelle Lechner, Park Ridge, Il and Alanna, Mariah and Jordan Henry of Foley, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Eva Ohr, Nancy Bargen and brother, Robert. Memorials are preferred in-lieu of flowers to the First Presbyterian Church, Foley.
