Julia Hennek, age 93, died Monday, September 17, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2012 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Foley, MN. The Rev. Timothy Rewaldt will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Julia Hennek was born March 9, 1919 in Bemidji, MN to Michael and Augusta (Dropps) Swalbowski. She married Lester Beireis on March 3, 1938 and he preceded her in death. She then married Albert Hennek July 13, 1962. She lived in Wayzata and Foley areas. For many years she worked as a nanny and house keeper in Wayzata. She was an actress and played a part in the movie, 'Heart Break Kid'. She also worked as a caterer and cook. Julia volunteered many hours and was named 'Volunteer of the Year' in Foley and was a Foley Fun Days Ambassador. She enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino, traveling and fishing had a great sense of humor. She was a fun-loving person and was a joy to be around. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law; June Beireis, West Richland, WA; grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer) Beireis, Houston, TX; Peter (Anne) Beireis, Alameda, CA; Joy (Stefan) Beireis-Molnar, Alameda, CA; Jill (Robert) Creigh, Inwood, WV, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, sister, Caroline Bolz, Milaca, MN; Jean Kaeding, Hopkins, MN, sister-in-law, Julia Swalbowski, Foreston, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Albert and son, Robert and brothers and sister, Fred, Ed, Walt and Martha Hagedorn.
