Judy Petron, age 83 of Hillman passed away peacefully at her home on April 1, 2026. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 AM, Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Morrill. Rev. Matthew Langager will officiate and burial will take place in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 to 11:30 AM at the church on Tuesday. Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home.

Judith Mercedes Petron was born September 26, 1942 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to George and Alfreda (Voigt) Schueller. She married Darrel Petron on May 5, 1962 at St. Joseph's Church in Morrill. The couple moved to Oakdale, Minnesota where they raised their family and Judy operated an in-home daycare. In 2000 they moved back to the Hillman area where she continued her daycare business. Judy was a kind and compassionate person and children were her joy. She was happiest spending time with her family and her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening, especially picking the biggest red tomatoes and her golden retriever, Gracie. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Hillman American Legion Auxiliary, Post 602. The family would like to thank all those who provided compassionate person-centered care for gJudy in her home. In addition, thank you to those who came to play cards and visit with Judy. Judy always looked forward to her, "Tuesday card group."

She is survived by her children: Jackie (Rod) Moren, Pierz; Bonnie (Jim) Schefers, Foley; Deb (Mark) Moren, Pierz; Jodie Lesniak, Hillman, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, sister, Darlene Lesniak, Foley, sisters-in-law; Mary Ann Schueller, Sartell, Marian Petron, Alexandria, Evelyn Petron, Foley and a brother-in-law, Rich (Candy) Petron. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Darrel, son-in-law, Brian Lesniak, great-granddaughter, Melody Schefers, brothers: Richard, Bob, Jerome, an infant brother, Joseph and a sister, Mariet Bahe. The family would like to express their appreciation for all the kindness and comfort during this difficult time. No thank you cards will be sent.
