Josephine 'Jean' Struffert, age 89, of Hillman, died Friday, February 6, 2015 at  her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Brennyville. The Rev. Leo Moenkedick will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 Tuesday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and one hour prior to the service at the church.  Parish Prayers will be at 6 PM Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Josephine 'Jean' Struffert was born August 4, 1925 in Morrill Township, Morrison Co. to Anthony and Josephine (Gadacz) Gruba.  She married William 'Bill' Struffert on April 10, 1945 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church.  She had lived and farmed in Morrill Township all her life.  She also enjoyed cooking, catering for weddings, playing cards and embroidery work.  Jean loved to make people laugh and loved spending time with her family.  She was a caring and very giving person.  She was a life-long member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughter and sons; Evelyn Petron, Foley; George (Joan 'Punky'), Foley; John (Diane), Hillman; Tom (Bonnie), Sauk Rapids; 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, William, brothers and  sisters; Joe, George, Fred, Pete, Ben, Barbara, Anne and son-in-law, LeRoy Petron.
