Josephine Schreifels, age 84, of Foley, died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Brennyville. The Rev. Michael Wolfbauer will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 Tuesday and from 9 to 10 AM Wednesday at the the Foley Funeral Home.  Parish Prayers will be at 5 PM and the Christian Mothers Rosary will be at 7 PM, Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home.
Josephine Schreifels was born February 25, 1931 in Spring Hill, Minnesota to Joseph and Thresa (Winter) Muellner.  She married Gerald Schreifels on October 26, 1965 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church.  As a child she lived with her family in Milbank, South Dakota before moving to St. Cloud.  Josephine worked for Crane & Ordway in St. Paul.  She lived and farmed most of her life with her husband near Ramey and moved to Foley in 2007.   She was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church as well as the Christian Mothers the Crosier Apostolate and St. Mary's Quilting Group.  Josephine enjoyed card making, cooking and gardening.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her sons and daughter; Paul (Sharon), Eden Prairie; Diane Kleen, Sauk Rapids; John (Michelle), Apple Valley, 6 grandchildren and sisters; Madonna Holmstrom, Chisholm and Clarice Schroeder of Waite Park.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Gerald, infant  brother, Joseph, sister; Kathleen and her husband, Jim Burgmeier, brother-in-law, Harold Holmstrom and a niece, Pam Schroeder.
