Private Family Memorial Services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 21, 2015 at the Foley Funeral Home Chapel for Joan G. DeMarais, age 80 of Rogers, MN and formerly of Lake Forest, California.  Due to the onset of Alzheimer Disease, Joan returned to Minnesota in 2007 and resided at the Wellstead of Rogers in Rogers until her death on November 16, 2015.  Burial took place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.  The Rev. Timothy Wittwer presided at the service.
Joan DeMarais was born October 19, 1935 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Leonard and Louise (Nierengarten) DeMarais.  Joan graduated from Foley High School in 1953 and moved to Los Angeles, CA to pursue her dream of becoming a flight attendant. When she completed her training she was hired by United Air Lines.  Joan was a true professional and was very dedicated in all that she did while employed by UAL.  She eventually became chief flight attendant.  She was employed with UAL for 45 years and retired  in 1999.  Joan loved traveling around the world and was able to see many interesting places during her time with United Air Lines.  She enjoyed gardening, exercising, reading and boating.
She is survived by her sisters; Jean Dominquez, Dorothy (Roland) Terhaar, Sharon Alvord, Patricia Lenger, Marilyn (Gene) Kalscheuer, Diane (Fred) Smith, Michele (John) Brennan, brothers; Tom (Lou), Terry (Nancy), Jim (Merx), Skip (Peggy), Roger (Mary Kay), Rick (Renee) and John.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Daniel, nephew, Jeff Dominquez and niece, Rebecca Alvord.
