Joan B. Bauman, age 78, of Foley, died suddenly on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at her home.

A celebration of Joan's life will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by Memorial Serivces at 12:00 Noon Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church, Foley. The Rev. Allen Jergenson will officiate. Private family burial will be in the Ronneby Riverside Cemetery, Ronneby, MN.  Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Joan Bauman was born August 8, 1933 in St. Boniface, Manitoba, Canada to Leslie and Janette (McMillan) Parr. She married John Bauman on June 6, 1959 in St. Boniface, Manitoba. The couple lived in Canada until moving to Foley in 1964. Joan was active in and volunteered for many civic activities including delivering for Meals on Wheels, Foley Area CARE and the Foley Lions Club where she was a recipient of the Melvin Joan's Fellowship Award. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she was a Deacon and taught Sunday School. She will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

She is survived by her husband John, Foley, MN, sons and daughters; Ken (Connie), Clear Lake, MN; Mike (Amy), Marshfield, WI; Bob (Pat), Foley, MN; Kim (Bob) Koopmeiners, Sartell, MN; Michelle (Gary) Johnson, Foley, MN; Leslie (Pat) Haessly, Becker, MN, 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, sister, Betty (Barry) Meakin, Vancouver, BC; brother, Dave (Marilyn) Parr, Kelowna, BC; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter.
