Jennifer Pekarek, age 35, of Foley, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at her home after a battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013 at the Foley Funeral Home Chapel. The Pastor Nevin Nolder will officiate. Burial will be in the Lone Pine Cemetery.
Friends may call from one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Arrangements were made  by the Foley Funeral Home.
Jennifer Pekarek was born April 28, 1978 in St. Cloud, MN to Donald and Rosie (Hopkins) Pekarek.  She graduated from Foley High School and worked at DAC in Milaca for several years.  She then moved to St. Cloud where she worked in house keeping at the Holiday Inn for the last several years.   Jennifer was always reading something and she especially loved cats.  She enjoyed spending time with her room mates and doing various activities and outings.  She especially liked shopping, fishing & camping and going to movies.  Her dog Lucy will miss her as she went on many walks to get the mail with Jennifer.
She is survived by her mother and step-dad,  Rosie (John) Muldowney, Foley; sister, Roberta (Brian) Stay, Baxter; nephews, Brenden & Ethan and niece, Samantha, grandmother, Arvilla Hopkins, Buffalo and many aunts, uncles and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father, Donald, grandparents, George & Mary Pekarek and Patrick Hopkins.  She will be missed by many.
