Herbert Sendy, age 88, of Sauk Rapids, MN and formerly of Foley, MN, died Saturday December 17, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church, Foley. The Rev. Allen C. Jergenson will officiate. Burial will be in the Ronneby Riverside Cemetery, Ronneby, MN.

Friends may call from 11 to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Foley. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Herbert Sendy was born October 11, 1923 in Mayhew Lake Township, Benton County, Minnesota to Edward and Marie (Bliese) Sendy. He married Bernetta 'Bernie' Vogt on July 14, 1956 in St. Cloud, MN. Herbert worked for Swift Meat Packing in Minneapolis, MN and farmed and raised dairy cows all of his life in Mayhew Lake Township. He enjoyed fishing and riding 4-wheeler. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder and a Deacon.

He is survived by his sons and daughters; Wayne (Pauline), Rice, MN; Barb (Mike) Krmpotich, Sartell, MN; Kenny, Foley, MN; Mark (Mary), Foley, MN; Gail Albright (friend, Walt), Sauk Rapids, MN; Cathy (Adam) VandeVrede, Sartell, MN; Jim, Foley, MN; Connie (Travis) Scott, Foley, MN; sister, Milly Spiczka, Sartell, MN, 22 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and son, David and wife, Bernetta 'Bernie', May 14, 2005.
