Helen Katchmazenski, age 96, of Scottsdale, Arizona and formerly Brennyville died Wednesday, September 10th in Scottsdale.  Graveside services will be held at 1:30 PM on Wednesday, September 17th at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Cemetery in Brennyville with Rev. Leo Moenkedick officiating.  Visitation will be held from 1-1:30 PM Wednesday at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church.

Helen Veronica (Bialke) Katchmazenski was born November 17, 1917 in Benton County to Anton and Ottillia (Detloff) Bialke.  She was united in marriage with William E. Katchmazenski and the couple was blessed with six children.  While beautifying the farm and tending to the farming chores and being a homemaker, Helen also worked outside of the home at Fingerhut, Milaca High School and the Ben Franklin Dime Store in Milaca.  She was a member of the Legion of Mary, St. Elizabeth's Rosary Society in Brennyville as well as the Mother's Organization of their country school.

Helen is survived by her children:  Marlene (Gene) Prodahl of Motley, Jeffrey (Nadir) Katchmazenski of Brazil, South America, Donita Wegman of Scottsdale, AZ, Sally (George) Minars of St. Cloud, and Kelly Lee Katchmazenski of Scottsdale; brother Thomas Bialke of Babbitt; 17 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, William in 1975; son William; and 12 siblings.
