Guy Cairns, age 56, of Oak Park, MiN died Friday, March 18, 2011 at his home.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 at Graham United Methodist Church, Rice, MN. The Rev. Sue Maki will officiate. Military Honors will be provided by the Foley American Legion, Post #298.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 Thursday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Prayer services will be 6:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Guy Cairns was born January 27, 1955 in St. Cloud, MN to William and Rita (Holka) Cairns. He graduated from Sauk Rapids High School, Sauk Rapids, MN in 1973 and married Debra Bemboom in 1975 and they later divorced. He then married Valerie Moran and they also divorced. He was a US Army Veteran and was Honorably Discharged in 1981. Guy worked construction most of his life for John VanDale and most recently Corrigan Construction. He enjoyed deer hunting and muskie fishing and listening to music. Spending time with his son Kelli was very important to him.

He is survived by his son, Kelli (Robin), NC; mother, Rita Cairns (Allen Henry), Rice, MN; sisters and brother, Robin (Steve) Wollak, Rice, MN; Connie Popp (Jeff Martin), Sartell, MN; Chris Cairns, St. Cloud, MN; Cathy Sopkowiak (Larry Tarnowski), Avon, MN; Mike (Dorothy), Pierz, MN, Barb Torres (Jim Reed), Rice, MN; brother-in-law, Miguel Torres, 3 nieces and 6 nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Cairns.
