Gerald 'Guz' Guzy, age 75, of Foley, MN died Friday June 18, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Foley. The Rev. Don Wilke will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and 1 hour before services at the church. Prayer services will be at 8 pm Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Gerald Guzy was born December 15, 1934 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Alexander and Anne (Lechko) Guzy. He married Virginia Young October 8, 1956 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Ramey. He grew up in Minneapolis and joined the Army in 1954. The couple had lived in Minneapolis until 1968 when they moved to Foley. He had worked at Unisys in St. Paul for 25 years before retiring as a Quality Engineer in 1990. He was an avid collector. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and traveling. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was a member of the Foley American Legion Post 298 and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Foley.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia, Foley; sons and daughters, Scott, Milaca, MN; Jill (Mike) Johnson, Foreston, MN; Steve (Amy), Paynesville, MN; Judy (Paul) Roehl, Foreston, MN; 12 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren; a sister, Ellen Schabel, Champlin; and many nephews and nieces .

He was preceded in death by his brother, Alex.
