George Kromschroeder, age 68, of Oak Park, died Saturday April 9, 2011.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at First Presbyterian Church, Foley,

MN. The Rev. Allen Jergenson will officiate.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

George Kromschroeder was born February 11, 1943 in Granite Ledge Township, Benton Co., MN, to George and Laura (Kahl) Kromschroeder. He married Beverly Neslund in 1973 in Oak Park, MN. He lived most of his life in near Oak Park and worked at Retlaff Logging in Princeton for over 20 years. George also worked for Cretex in Elk River until his retirement in 2009. He enjoyed 4 wheeling, fishing & hunting and could build and fix anything. He was also an avid gardener and like going to garage sales.

He is survived by his son and daughters: Vicky (Joel Wrolstad), Rice, MN; Dean (Sheila Stine), Zimmerman, MN; Val (Jeff) Gruba, Sartell, MN, Virginia (Scott) Thoreson, Ramsey, MN, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and sisters and brother, Lenore, Jeanette and Stan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly, September 1, 2010 and brother and sister, Don and Gloria, son-in-law, Gordy Ekbery and grandson, Keith Sherk.
