Gabriel Gruba, age 79, of  Brainerd and formerly of Sauk Rapids, died Tuesday August 18, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Socierty-Bethany, Brainerd.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Foley Funeral Home Chapel, Foley. The Rev. Tony Marfori will officiate. Burial will be in the SS. Peter & Paul catholic Cemetery, Gilman.
Friends may call from 10 to 11 AM Saturday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley.  Service with Dignity provided by the Foley Funeral Home.
Gabriel Gruba was born March 9, 1936 in Gilman, Minnesota to John and Sally (O'Konek) Gruba.  Gabriel grew up near Gilman and worked construction and worked for many area farmers.  He also worked for his brother, John at his resort on the White Iron-Garden Lake chain of lakes.  Gabriel also lived in Sauk Rapids and Brainerd.  He will be greatly missed by his friends and many family members.
He is survived by his brother, John (Patricia) Gruba, Brainerd and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Terry Gruba.
