Florence E. Burns, age 89, of Sartell, MN and formerly of Foley, MN and Sherburne, MN, died Monday March 19, 2012 at St. Benedicts Center, St. Cloud, MN.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012 at the Foley Funeral Home Chapel, Foley. The Rev. Wesley Macy will officiate. Burial will be in the Maywood Covenant Cemetery, rural Foley.

Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Florence Burns was born March 12, 1923 in Isanti, Minnesota to Oscar and Julia Peterson. She married Russell Iverson and he preceded her in death. She married Cecil Burns. She had lived much of her life in Sherburne, MN. She had owned and operated a boarding home. Florence was a strong, hard-working and determined woman whose life evolved around her family.

She is survived by nine children; 22 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Dolly Estrins, White Bear Lake, MN.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Russell and Cecil 'Jack', daughter, Jeanne Delbarre and granddaughter, Vicki Avery.

Our mother has gone to heaven but she did not go alone for a part of us went with her on the day God brought her home.
