Evelyn Beehler, age 82, of Foley, died peacefully Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Foley Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Foley. The Rev. Tim Rewaldt will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 Monday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home.
Evelyn Beehler was born September 20, 1930 in Maywood Twp, Benton Co. to Axel and Olga (Forschen) Johnson. She married Raymond Beehler on November 5, 1949 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Foley. The couple dairy farmed near Foley for over 50 years and raised 6 children. Her fondest memories were fishing with her husband and listening to country music. Evelyn enjoyed a good game of scrabble, liked to go camping and fishing and enjoyed gardening. She was a loving and active member of her community and will be missed by many. Evelyn was a life member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the St. Paul's Ladies Aide.
She is survived by her sons and daughter; Dwight (Gloria), St. Cloud; Gary (Bernice), Foley; Sherry (Pieter Maas), Mound; David (Tina), Credit River and Steve of Foley and many grand and great grandchildren, sister, Vivian Beehler of St. Cloud and daughter-in-law, Kay Larson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond and son, Gerry and brother and sisters, Axel Jr., Ellen Toran and Violet Elander.
