Elizabeth 'Betty' Walcheski, age 71, of Foley, died Saturday March 21, 2015 at the Foley Nursing Center.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman. The Rev. Leo Moenkedick and Rev. Daniel Walz will concelebrate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.  Parish Prayers will be at 4:00 PM Tuesday.  Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.  Service with Dignity provided by Foley Funeral Home.
Elizabeth 'Betty' Jane Walcheski was born June 12, 1943 in Morrill Township, Morrison County, Minnesota the daughter of Thomas Sr. and Elsie (Kugler) Schyma.  She married Stephen Walcheski Sr., on  April 4, 1961 St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Morrill.   Betty lived and farmed most of her life in Alberta Township.  She was a lifelong care giver, caring for her parents and mother and father-in-law while raising her family.  Betty enjoyed gardening, canning pickles and butchering chickens.  She also liked dancing, listening to music, watching movies and playing cards.  Betty most enjoyed socializing with friends; spending time with her children and grandchildren, and since 2009, the adult daycare service at Heritage of Foley.  She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara ' Barbie' (Mark) Brenny; sons,  Mike (Marge) and Allan (Maria) all of Foley; 6 grandsons; Jonathan, Christopher and Elliott Brenny and Andrew, Devrin and Zachary Walcheski; and great granddaughter, Adalyne 'Addie' Brenny; brothers:  Lawrence (Gwen) of Morrill, Tom Jr. (Delphine) of Morrill, Hilary 'Larry' (Connie) of Cottage Grove and Alan 'Chuck' (Carol) of Baudette. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Sr.; son, Steven Jr.;  sister, Arlene Bauer and brother-in-law, Don Bauer.
