Elizabeth 'Beth' Deppa, age 53, of Foley, died unexpectedly, Saturday March 17, 2012 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 Noon Thursday, March 22, 2012 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, MN. The Rev. Leo Moenkedick will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery, Duelm, MN.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 Wednesday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley and from 10 to 11:30 at the church on Thursday. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.
Elizabeth Deppa was born September 20, 1958 in St. Cloud, MN to Warren Sr. and Virginia (Mehrwerth) Peschl. She lived all her life in the Foley area and graduated from Foley High School in 1977. Beth coached volleyball, softball and basketball in the Foley school district for several years. She attended St. Cloud Business College and worked as a produce manager at Jack and Jill's in Foley. She married Michael Deppa on May 21, 1988 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Duelm. Beth farmed and raised dairy cows in Alberta Township. She was a member of the DHIA and received many quality of excellence awards for her dairy heard. Beth loved horses and all farm animals, was an avid Twins fan and enjoyed deer hunting. She was an excellent athlete and won several State Championships in both co-ed and women's softball. She also was a member of the NHPA and qualified for the National Championship in horseshoe pitching last year.
She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Michael, Foley, MN; mother, Virginia Peschl, Foley, MN; and brothers and sisters; Karen (Roger) Kackley, Foley, MN; Warren Jr. (Judy), Foley, MN; Judy (Dennis) Schmit, Sauk Rapids, MN; Diane (Eugene) David, Foley, MN; Mary (Dave) Plafcan, Sauk Rapids, MN; Donna (Jeff) Bond, Anchorage, AK; Pat (Ken) Abfalter, Foley, MN; Brian (Tina), Foley, MN; John (Brenda), Foley, MN; brother-in-law, Duane Iverson, Foley, MN; and many nieces and nephews and special collies, Shiloh and Seka.
She was preceded in death by her father, Warren Sr., and sister, Roberta 'Bobbi' Iverson. Memorials are preferred in-lieu of flowers.
