Eleanor A. Petron, age 102, of Foley, MN, died Saturday October 30, 2010 at the Foley Nursing Center, Foley, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church, Brennyville, MN. The Rev. Dan Walz will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley, MN and 1 hour before services at church. Parish prayers will be at 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Eleanor Petron was born in April of 1908 in Alberta Twp., Benton Co., MN to Frank and Barbara (Kubat) Vondra. She married John Petron in August of 1936 in Brennyville, MN. She had lived and farmed in Alberta Township, rural Benton County, MN most of her life. Eleanor liked to embroider, sew and garden. She enjoyed her flowers, canning, family gatherings and quilting. She also made children's clothes for charities. She was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter, Richard (Candy), Elk River, MN; Marian (Lee Barber) Petron, Alexandria, MN; daughter-in-laws, Judy Petron, Hillman, MN; Evelyn Petron, Foley, MN: 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John in May of 1984, sons, Darrel and LeRoy, 1 great granddaughter and 3 sisters and a brother, Frank Vondra.
