Edward J. Klingler, age 68, of Foley, died suddenly on Wednesday December 23, 2015 at home.
Ed was born January 10, 1947 in Winona, Minnesota to Joseph and Betty (Lynch) Klingler.  He was married to Cheryl Kerich and the couple lived in rural Foley.  Ed was a U.S. Marine Veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a member of the Princeton VFW, Post 806 and the Princeton American Legion, Post 216.  He lived and farmed near Monticello and in Glendorado Township, Benton Co., for many years.   He was employed by Martie's Farm Service in Monticello for over 20 years, retiring in October of 2015.  He volunteered at the St. Cloud VA Hospital and was an active member of Glendorado Lutheran Church.  Ed enjoyed gardening , canning, the outdoors.  He loved spending time with others, making people laugh and was always willing to help those in need.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl,  brothers and sisters; John, New Brighton; Mike, Backus; Peggy, Monticello; Darlene (Larry) Kolles, Monticello, Joyce (Bob) Elliott, Buffalo and many other family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
