Douglas M. OKonek, age 55, of Oak Park, MN, died Sunday December 12, 2010 at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Cloud, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010 at St. John's Catholic Church, Foley, MN. The Rev. Robert Kieffer will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley, MN and 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Parish prayers will be 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Douglas OKonek was born March 29, 1955 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Quirren and Rosemary (Stawarski) OKonek. He graduated from the Foley High School in 1973 and lived and farmed his entire life in Maywood Twp., Benton Co., MN He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Doug was a member of St. John's Catholic Church.

He is survived by his brother, Dale (Denise), Ft. Ripley, MN; sister-in-laws, Denise OKonek, Oak Park, MN; and Carol OKonek, St. Cloud, MN; and nieces and nephews; girlfriend, Diane Hilde, Oak Park, MN; and Godchildren, Ashley and Gail.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Donald, LeRoy and Darrel.
