Dorothy Leason, age 87, of Foley, MN, died Monday July 18, 2011 at the Foley Nursing Center.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2011 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Gilman, MN. The Rev. Aaron Kuhn will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 Thursday at the Foley Funeral Home in Foley, MN and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Christian Mother's Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by the Foley Funeral Home, Foley, MN.

Dorothy Leason was born November 7, 1923 in Maywood Township, Benton Co., MN to Julius and Elizabeth (Brunn) Wilke. She married Dan Leason on February 27, 1946 at St. John's Catholic Church, Foley. The couple lived and farmed north of Ronneby, MN all of their married life. She moved to St. Cloud, MN in 2001. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, playing cards and loved cooking and planning meals for everyone she knew. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and the Christian Mother's.

She is survived by her son and daughters; Gerald (Pat), Rice, MN; Jean Ann Kapsner, Blaine, MN; Diane Bowen, St. Cloud, MN; Patricia (Tom) Kapsner, Hillman, MN, 9 grandchildren, Bryan, James, Eric, Gillian, Lindsay, Allison, Domino, Thomas and Angela, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan, January 16, 2001, brothers and sisters, Arnold, Clyde, Edwin, Irene Lindell, Josephine Markfort and grandson, Gerald Leason Jr.
