Donald (Don) Henry Hoff 91 years olds passed away peacefully on December 16th 2025 with family by his side at the rehab center in Prescott AZ., after having surgery on December 7th. After graduation from Foley High School in 1952 he moved to north Mpls and began working for Warner Woldorf ( Champion Packaging) at the age of 18. He worked there for the next 40 years and retired at age 58. While working he met a young lady who needed help learning how to run a machine. That was Janet Super who he married on June 19th 1954 at a Catholic Church in Hector MN. Their ceremony was outside on the church yard because Don was a Lutheran. He became catholic and believed in his faith and his love of God and his church family. He was a 4th degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was very active in the knights helping with pancake breakfast, 4th of July church festivities, and the pickup meat guy for the turkey/ham bingo. He was also the guy who would pick up the pork chops on a stick for the Knights booth at the Pioneer Days in Albany. Don is the king of the one-liners who also loved sweets, especially cookies! He was a sports fan and liked to watch the Vikings and Twins. He enjoyed watching and feeding the wildlife at his home in Foley near the family homestead. He enjoyed deer hunting in Wyoming for 40 years along with fishing in Canada on Eagle Lake for 20 years. On the fishing trip in 2023 at the age of 90 he caught a 25” walleye and the next day a 37” northern on a 6’ fishing pole with 6 pound test (red Line) with no leader on a jig. He was known from that day on as Redline!! No one ever uses redline but him. He loved to travel with Jan and they traveled all over the world going to Germany, Scottland, Russia and many other countries. He and Jan also enjoyed cruises to Alaska, Caribbean and river cruises. They also did a lot of bus trips with friends and family to casinos in South Dakota and Branson MO.
